amd_adaptivecomputing
1 0 15.6K

We are pleased to announce the AMD AMA SDK 1.1.2 release. This release focuses on enabling additional capabilities of the AMD Alveo™ MA35D Media Accelerator including:

  • VP9 decode
  • 2D GPU to enable compositing, scaling, and mosaicing of one or more inputs
  • AI region of interest encoding to improve subjective text or face VQ

You can more completely use the hardware blocks in the Alveo MA35D media accelerator as you target high-density, low-power transcoding solutions.

As seen at NAB 2024, we are happy to collaborate with id3as, the team behind the Norsk video SDK on adding Alveo MA35D accelerator support, to enable you to easily create dynamic live video workflows and deploy them at any scale.

Norsk is an enterprise-grade streaming server that empowers users to build live media workflows with both a low-code SDK and a no-code interface, so it’s suitable for any level of programming and integration expertise as well as any level of workflow complexity. It seamlessly leverages the power of the AMD Alveo MA35D accelerator, offloading encodes/decodes, rescaling, and (coming soon) composition.
