Today Xilinx announces another milestone in the rollout of our Versal® portfolio. The Versal Premium series has completed its Early Access phase. Now Versal Premium documentation and tools are publicly available on xilinx.com. Vivado® ML 2022.1 now supports the Versal Premium now supports the Versal Premium VP1202, VP1502, VP1702, and VP1802 devices in the standard Vivado ML installation, which is available here.

The Versal Premium series features breakthrough integration of high-bandwidth, power-optimized networking IP cores with High-Speed Crypto Engines for the fastest, most secure networks. As a heterogeneous compute platform, the Versal Premium series is engineered to help users reach the highest levels of acceleration for a wide range of compute-intensive workloads by providing the highest compute density, custom memory hierarchy, and massive on-chip memory. With Vivado ML and the Vitis™ unified software development platform, the Versal Premium series offers a complete solution stack for hardware and software developers for maximum productivity.

Vivado ML 2022.1

Vivado ML 2022.1 has introduced new or enhanced features for Versal portfolio, especially the Versal Premium series. It provides:

  • Design methodology violation awareness
  • Interactive QoR assessment report
  • Automatic QoR suggestion flows
  • Intelligent design runs

to enable 5 to 8% of QoR improvements for Versal devices.

In addition, the Hard IP planner in the IP integrator maximizes utilization of hard blocks such as 600G Ethernet cores and 600G Interlaken cores, and 400G High Speed Crypto Engines.

Now is the time for R&D teams to target Versal Premium devices in Vivado ML to get their products to market as soon as possible.
