FSR 2.0 is our next-level temporal upscaling technology with incredible image quality. It has been built by AMD from the ground up to deliver similar or better than native image quality and is designed to help boost framerates in supported games, and is coming in Q2 2022. Last week we said we’d have more info to share on March 23 at GDC, and that day has come. Our new AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition includes exciting updates to AMD Link. Designed with today’s socially-connected, mobile-first world in mind—and with the gamer at its center—AMD Link allows you to game virtually anywhere, from almost any device, now with new, key features.

When AMD introduced Radeon™ Software as a successor to our Catalyst Control Center back in 2015, our software was still primarily a graphics control panel designed to allow users to adjust various settings related to their graphics card. Over the past few years, we have been steadily introducing more features that go beyond graphics control, adding new capabilities like AMD Ryzen™ processor-specific tools such as CPU monitoring and overclocking, as well as platform-level controls for technologies like AMD SmartShift and AMD Smart Access Memory™ technology1. We felt that our existing AMD Radeon Software brand no longer portrayed what our software was ultimately capable of, and so with this release, we are introducing a new brand for our feature-rich application, called AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition.   

The holiday season is here, and I am sure we’re all looking forward to getting some time off to rest and recharge, and more importantly, indulge in our favorite pastime, gaming. But along with celebrating the holidays, we here at AMD would also like to take the time to celebrate another significant day – the 6-month anniversary of the launch of AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR).
