AMD and Halo Infinite: We're Just Getting Started

24 0 13.5K

Today we’re ecstatic to announce that AMD is collaborating with 343 Industries as the exclusive PC Partner of Halo Infinite! We’ve been working with the Halo Infinite team for the past two years to ensure an immersive and incredible PC gaming experience.

AMD and Halo Infinite

Players can expect optimized performance for AMD Radeon™ graphics, including the Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics powered by AMD RDNA™ 2 architecture, as well as Ryzen™ processors. However, our focus and work with the Halo team extends beyond that, as we collaborated on game title optimizations that benefit a vast range of hardware and device endpoints from ultra-high end gaming powerhouses to older and cost-effective gaming machines as well as the entire Xbox family of consoles.

One of the great examples of this partnership is the support for AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro in Halo Infinite. In addition to providing tear free, stutter free gaming, displays certified for the AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro tier include highly accurate luminance and wide color gamut testing to enable an exceptional HDR visual gaming experience. But that’s not all, we've continued to work on opportunities for further performance improvement across both PC and Console. We're also looking forward to working closely with the Halo Infinite team over the coming months to bring raytracing to the game.

And now that we’ve covered some of the technical details, let’s talk about some of the fun stuff! First, to properly celebrate the next era of Halo, beginning October 26, AMD will include a token for 1 month of Xbox Game Pass for PC with purchase of select AMD Radeon and AMD Ryzen boxed products at participating retailers and e-tailers, so AMD customers can play Halo Infinite on Day 1 with Game Pass. The offer is available for a limited time, so please go to on October 26 for more information as well as terms and conditions.

But we felt that wasn’t enough. AMD and 343i wanted to do something special for the gaming community to celebrate the release of Halo Infinite, and something unlike anything else we have attempted before. So, how about an AMD Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Halo Infinite Limited Edition graphics card? The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is the fastest gaming graphics card we’ve ever built, so it’s the perfect graphics card to celebrate the release of Halo Infinite.

A year in the making, and inspired by Master Chief’s Mark VII Mjolnir armor, this limited-edition graphics card offers a custom shroud design bearing several iconic elements from the Master Chief himself. The card shroud is designed with a reflective, iridium gold fan border, and includes the iconic “117” Spartan callsign, as well as a Cortana-blue light to signify the AI slot on the back of the Master Chief’s helmet.

Most importantly, it is extremely important to both 343 Industries and AMD that this special edition card ends up in the hands of gamers, so it is not a product we intend to sell. Instead, we will be working with the Halo team and other partners on multiple opportunities over the coming weeks to allow you to get your hands on one.
