Hello, this is my first post here.

I'was thinking about building a new PC after 8 years after the last one, and was thinking about using a Ryzen 7 7700 and a 6700XT GPU. Is that combo well balanced?

I'm going to make a dual boot windows 10/Linux (Debian or maybe SuSE or even Devuan) and I'm going to use for productivity stuff and DAW, and a little bit of gaming.

I think I'm not going to overclock and use the stock cooler of the 7700. It's ok in this case to use DDR-5200 RAM or using DDR-6000 could benefit the performance?

The build is well balanced, but I'm not sure what kind of productivity you seek.

There are some nice combos (Board+CPU+ram) around with the 7900X that can be a real monster when productivity or music production is in order, but if your budget is thinner, then the 7700X will do fine.

I would maybe opt for the 6750XT as price difference is not that much.

And avoid the stock cooler if you plan some CPU load like you mentioned with DAW.

For the productivity, I mean, in addition to the stadard office and Internet stuff, using it for programming and compiling software with eclipse as IDE.

My budget is about 1500 euro, excluding monitor, keyboard and mouse, and don't mind havi a plain case without frills. Now Between a 7900 and a 7700 i find a 20-25% difference both searching online and going in a brick-and mortar shop I've nearby,

About the stock cooler, so it's better to get a bigger cooler and go straight to the X versions? I prefer to have an air-cooled system because I never made a liquid cooled one and I'm a bit afraid of water pump failures .

If you want to avoid water cooler and if the case allows, You can't go wrong with this behemoth from Noctua.
