Hi All,
i'm new to the community, I'm having troubles with my Processor tried googling but haven't got any Neat results. Any suggession or Help is much appreciated, Thanks in Advance.
I've recently moved to Amd Ryzen 7 5700G processor with windows 11 home Os, I'm having High CPU temps problem
these are my config:
AS rocks B550M pro4, Ryzen 7 5700G, GPU zotoc nvidea 1050Ti OC Edition, Corssiar 16Gb@3600Mhz , WD SN570, Cooler : AMD stealth wriath(stock)
i'm currently running CPU@3.6Ghz with 1.27V
I'm using Open hardware Monitor and ICU softwares for temp monitoring, I'm Seeing way too much Temp readings on screen..& logs
The processor at start up on os is 60-65C & drops after 5min to 49C-53C at 6% load..at 20% load of cpu its close to 60C-65C...And also while some medium gaming i'm getting at Max 89C as Max i've seen. I've tried ryzen software and tried to run cpu with lower clock speed but seems no improvement.
You didn't mention what case you have these components installed in. I suspect your airflow within the case is inadequate. Here's what I would try:
1) Make sure you are pulling air into the case with at least 2 fans. Also ensure you are removing air from the case with at least two fans. Most people pull air in from the front or bottom of the case, and expel air from the back and / or top of the case.
2) Try using a good thermal paste between your stock CPU cooler and the header of the AMD Ryzen 5700G.
3) If your temperatures are still high (getting up to 70 C isn't a big problem, but reaching above 80 C is not good for longevity of the CPU), then buy a better CPU cooler, like a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 or equivalent. Swapping out the CPU cooler should get you a 5 C reduction in temperatures by itself.
Hi ,
thanks for reply mate, I'm using Ant Esports Elite 1000 TG Mid-Tower Computer Case which came with only one 120mm fan as exhaust, i've modded an another exhast fan from an microware 150mm fan runing with full speed to exhaust the air on top, as do as rear one. I've changed the speed with Asrock utility tool, for CPU fan kept it 60% speed at normal & full speed on top of that.
I've changed the thermal paste of cpu with coolmaster thermal paste, it did helped to drop the temp to 3C but not so much i'd say.like i've mentioned i've clocked down the cpu voltage & freq to reduce tdp it dropped the temp 10C at startup from 70c -60C but as mentioned at idle still the best is 49C-50C. Seems like the problem is Cpu is too strong for wraith cooler & My Room ambinet temp is like 27-30C.
I'll try adding more fans like You suggested & thinking about changing the stock cooler to AIO or Aircooler for better temps.
As Once a wise man said "Only a fool learns form his own mistake, wise man learns from others --Otto von Bismarck ".
Remove the sides of your case, this must drop another 10 degrees. However these temps are a little too high for this CPU. Was everything normal with this CPU under Windows 10? I suggest you try to install windows 10 just to be sure if it is not the Window 11 causing you this trouble. To be honest windows 11 is still crap, and not utilized, it will take some time before they get there! I am stuck with windows 10 for now.
hi mate Thanks for reply,
I did tested it on open rig setup & like you suggested with open case also not so much difference than 1-2C....i'll try installing linux & check out in that...i've tried win 10 it not supported by my hardware for some reason....
