Ryzen 7 7700X temperature too high

Hello,

I just bought a Ryzen 7 7700X and when I render videos or install something, the CPU has got to temperatures of 96 sometimes. I read that is normal to get to 95 with this processor, but not higher than that, should I be worried?

Thank you for any information about that.

Ryzen 7k goes that high. However, you can improve your cooling. Just tell us your hardware specs and the software you use to render and monitor.

Hello,

I have a B650 Aorus pro ax board, 32 vengeance DDR 5 ram, a GTX 970 ti GPU, and the cooler is a AK400 WH.

For what I have read, the issue is with the motherboard. I have tried to update the BIOS (8 hours trying with different methods) and it was impossible to do it. I will try again today, but in the info in an update says it fixes the CPU high voltage.

Hello, I finally was able to update the BIOS, that was the problem! Now when I render a video I got a max of 88 degrees! Thank you for your interest.

Hello,

It´s ONLY when rendering videos with Camtasia, otherwise when I´m playing Baldur´s gate 3, for example, it doesn´t go up than 90 sometimes, but just sometimes. Also, when rendering, it´s just in a few moments that gets to 97 and stays there for sometime.

Hi there,

tell us more about your rig, cooler, type of case, ambient temp, GPU... all these play a great deal on the outcome.

If you feel its a tad way above your comfort zone, there is always curve optimizer or offset undervolting.

Good Luck
