System details:

Ryzen 7 3700X

Rosewill Capstone 750W gold certified PSU

2x8 G Skill F4-3600C16-8GVKC

Asus Prime X570-P with 3001 bios

MSI RX 5700 EVOKE OC

Win 10 64 bit

The problem are random reboots. These occur while the system is not stressed in any way. All temps are normal. Can run benchmarks, stress tests, memtest, etc, without errors. All latest drivers are installed. Problem has persisted despite updating bios, swapping PSU, reinstall windows.  no blue screens, just behaves like someone pressed the reset button. No crash dumps are produced.

In event viewer: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."  Event ID: 41.  Level: Critical.

There are also 8 information entries such as:

My system has been stable for months, then this has started occurring randomly on a daily basis. I suspect some hardware issue, motherboard/bios vs cpu.  Appreciate any thoughts or input on how best to proceed.  RMA/replace motherboard or processor?  Thanks.

Hey, I'm having the same problem, except when it comes not random. Mine is when I install Steam games on my 4tb HDD WDC WDS100T2G0A-00JH30, and play them at the same time from the same HDD. It would also be random, when this happens of course, mid-game.

My Computer: CPU: AMD 5950x

GPU: PNY Revel 3090 RTX

Memory: 32Gb(8gbx4) Corsair 3200MHz 

Motherboard: B550-F Asus

PowerSupply: Seasonic 1000watt Gold 80+

Windows 10 1909 Installed on my SSD. ST4000VN008-2DR166

I can also run Benchmarks just fine, Blender, Photoshop, UserBenchmark, 3DMark, etc; without any issues too. From my understanding this issue can be a result in Hardware problems. Reading Forum posts it might be the motherboard, or the 4TB hard-drive for me. Everything works fine if I don't download Steam games and play them at the same time on my 4TB HDD, so I'll keep away from doing that. I would think about how you use your hardware when doing tasks, as thats how I determined it was most likely a limit on my 4TB HDD that was triggering resulting in Windows crashing without a bluescreen. It could also be for me that the motherboard is bad, I'll have to wait and see when my new SDD comes in.

Sidenote: People also mention disabling SpeedStep in the bios, maybe that can help you.

In my case it looks like a fault in the motherboard. I've returned my board to Asus.  In the meantime I swapped in a Gigabyte  x570 aorus elite, and have not had any restarts since. I wonder if something went out with power delivery or regulation on the board, or perhaps some capacitors went bad.
