Socket AM3+ has been discontinued for two years, and current Ryzen processors are -much- faster, so the best advice would be to upgrade to a Ryzen system. Also, any new AM3+ CPU you get will only be marginally faster than what you have now, pretty much unnoticeable compared to what you have now.
