XFX - Speedster MERC319 AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT CORE 16GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Gaming Graphics Card

GPU boots up at start, no issues. after my pc has been booted for more than a few seconds, the GPU just shuts off. The lights turn off, the fans stop spinning. no previous issues besides some light coil whine that has no impact.

Checked for driver updates, and updated. gpu lights up and spins during installation. shuts off after. restarted after and no avail

any attempt to overclock or underclock the gpu, it lights up and spins while it is “clocking” then shuts off after finishes. again tried restarting and nothing

randomly turns on for a few seconds then back off. i’ve made sure my cords were in right. took gpu out and put it back in the correct way twice.

anyone have this issue or any advice to try to fix it? i’m going to reinstall drivers later today along with checking bios. i’m newer to the pc world, and i don’t wanna make this worse.

With very little PC information especially the Make & Model of your PSU it is difficult to suggest anything.

But from your post it could be a power issue (PSU defective or not strong enough for your GPU Card) Defective GPU card, or possibly defective Motherboard.

Try installing the GPU card in another computer and see if it does the same thing. If it does I suggest you open a XFX Warranty Ticket to have your GPU checked.

Install a Monitoring App to check your GPU Temperatures and see if the Fans are spinning before it shuts off.

Run GPU-Z and try to upload a image if possible before shutting down.

Download and run OCCT Stress tests of GPU, CPU, & PSU to see if the PC shuts down during the testing.

To me it sounds like a hardware issue.

First thing I would do is install the GPU card in another computer and see if the same thing occurs.

Can't view the Vid., so is this while under load fans not spinning, or on idle which would probably then be running in zero rpm fan mode?
