I've just replaced an Intel setup with AMD components.
Motherboard: Gigabyte A320M-S2H
CPU: Ryzen 3 3200G
RAM: Corsair Vengence LPX DDR4 3200MHz (2x8Gb)
OS: Slackware Linux 14.2 (kernel 4.4.14 SMP)
Desktop: KDE 4.14.21
If I start a video playing, or switch from some other task to a playing video, there is 1-2 seconds of full-screen black, before the video appears. Any audio associated with the video plays normally during the black screen.
So for example, if I switch Chrome to a tab that is playing a video (say, YouTube or IMDb) there is this brief black screen. Similarly, if I switch between desktops to a desktop with a video playing, or start a video playing, the brief black screen occurs.
Is this a known issue? Can anybody suggest a cure?
Thanks...
