Are HDMI ports on graphics cards phasing out?

My first experience building a PC and I'm learning so much about graphics cards. However, I've noticed that a lot of the cards I'm considering have no HDMI ports and only DisplayPort. Am I crazy or are HDMI ports being phased out? If so why would this be?

The standard display compliment for all GPUs includes at least 1 DisplayPort and 1 HDMI port, even on the low end. For example, the XFX Radeon RX 550 has a DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Which GPUs were you looking at which lacked these connectors?

Most Consumer GPU's, as mentioned, has both DisplayPort and HDMI Ports but AMD Professional GPUs may not have any HDMI Ports but only DisplayPort Ports.

As an example only, the AMD FirePro W9100 Professional GPU Card:

You might be looking at AMD Professional GPUs instead of Consumer GPUs.
