I love the 7900 XT…..

just bought it last saturday - after bios no picture 

I was in the shop and after a Bios Update (i did it aswell but after that it worked) 

Played 1 hour and made a restart cause of low Performances (less fps than with my 5700 XT nitro) and now i get this picture.
Windows is starting in the backround  

DisplayPort, HDMI same result.

Any ideas? Should i send it back?

Looks faulty alright.

If you don't have any other computer to try it I would take it back to the shop.

Will check it with a different DisplayPort cable… If it’s the same resulte i will send it back

The „funny“ things is, i had the same picture before but it jumped to the windows screen after a few seconds…. Now it stays with this picture

If you have more than one display connected, just try it with one only, please. Also, how is the card connected to power? Is it piggyback or with single cables and rails?

Good luck that it might be the cable.

P.S system specs would be nice.

Just only one DisplayPort cable was connected. Single cable from the PA with 2 8 pin plugs. The shop tested it with 3 different screens (via HDMI) and only one worked. They tested it again yesterday (after the wired picture) and now they have the same result on different Systems. So Yeah, it’s going back today
