Why does R7 M340 support all features but R7 M440 doesn't any of those;
Unless you post what APU / processor you have , etc, not much anybody can do.

(I must have R7 M440, not M340)
According to HP, you have a R5 M330 graphics. Please read > Laptop graphics update...How to

The integrated Radeon R5 should be similar to the Beema based Radeon R5 GPU with 128 shaders. Only a few current games (as of 2014) are thus playable in low settings, but older and less demanding titles should run flawlessly.

Very very sorry, I am realising now I gave the wrong PC of mine, (all of the specs were same, didn't see R5)

but it still shows as M340 in afterburner, device manager, radeon settings
AMD does not offer drivers for your laptop. The APU with R7 graphics is a custom designed processor combo from the laptop manufacturer and requires specific drivers...which they furnish.
Recommendation:
AMD recommends using the graphics drivers provided by your notebook's manufacturer (OEM)as the manufacturer has customized the drivers to support the built-in display and the features and functions specific to the notebook. Customized graphics drivers are available for download from most notebook manufacturer's web site.
If the current operating system is not the version originally installed on the notebook it may not meet all requirements and compatible graphics drivers may not be available. Please refer to the notebook manufacturer for supported operating systems and drivers.
AMD Mobility Radeon™ Graphics Driver:
AMD provides generic reference drivers for AMD Mobility Radeon graphics with limited support for notebook specific features and functions.
Getting that error in Benchmark sites tho.I want to use my R7 to play games smoother.
First: need to post your laptop Make & Model plus hardware info installed in laptop.
Second: You have to download you laptop's APU Driver and not the Discrete GPU Driver (R7 M440). The APU driver automatically installs both the integrated R5 and Discrete R7 AMD Drivers for your laptop.
Third: It is always best to install the laptop's AMD driver from the manufacturer's Support site. That way it will properly indicate the correct GPU's installed and is 100% compatible with all features for your GPUs. AMD Laptop drivers are generic and may not show the exact GPU model installed by a generic name and may not have access to all the laptop features engineered into the laptop by the manufacturer.
Fourth: Here is AMD Forum on how to install Laptop drivers: Laptop graphics update...How to and how to make it switchable: Configuring Laptop Switchable Graphics on a Windows® Based System | AMD
Driver by HP is even worse than AMD's one and I gave my laptop to HP and said them to fix that problem; They gave it to services
After 2-3 weeks they said there were problems with new AMD drivers after updating to 16.6 and Windows 1607
The system and game was so slow so I updated back to 19.1.1 and Windows 1809

They show as R7 M340 everywhere.
Here is some info on each of the GPU's, it will give you something to compare to...
Did you get/compile that chart from technical.city/en/video/Radeon-R7-M440-vs-Radeon-R7-M340
Some of their info seems not to be 100% correct.
I looked for it in multiple sites.
Couple of links here you might want to have a look at What is the specs difference between r7 M340 & r7 M440?
Have you asked HP tech support as to what graphics features are available on your model (e.g. switchable/dual/hybrid graphics/freesync, etc....).
Maybe a direct link to the exact HP model might help.

Higher end laptops have the option in the bios to select/switch the primary graphics from switchable to fixed. Bios's use different terminology but look under the display options. You want to switch from Dynamic to Static (or some terminology). The PCIe graphics will be used for everything and the integrated graphics will be disabled. Then you can update the R7 440. Your battery life will go downhill fast and the computer will run hotter..be aware.
Please post a screenshot of your device manager/displays
Everything points to you having a R7 M300 series graphics...not a R7 400M series. Maybe there was a mix-up when HP repair had it for two weeks. You have the correct drivers. How to use the dedicated driver:
