This makes me furious. Look, I'm a big fan of AMD, I really am okay? But this really, really makes me angry. Everything was working FINE. JUST FINE. PERFECTLY. Then you guys put out that you have an update, what is it, 23.4.1 or something? So I click update. It goes to download, and I guess for whatever reason the drivers weren't signed. So Windows came and warned me that they weren't recognized drivers. So I cancel the download, go to AMD directly to download the autodetect tool. Windows said it couldn't recognize it. So then I reset. Then I go and get it again from AMD. This time it acts like it wanted to install. I install it. It says it wants to reset, then when it resets, it gets stuck at a black screen at login. It boots up, but all I get is a mouse cursor. This infuriates me. The **bleep** was working just fine until I updated the drivers, then when I go update the drivers I run into problem after problem after problem. This **bleep** makes me mad because I have a lot of music on my computer I've been working on, and I tried to do a system restore, and for whatever reason Microsoft makes it impossible to do system restores anymore. So then I have to do a system reset. Now I have to reinstall every bit of every goddamn software I had, all my songs poof, gone. All my plugins for my **bleep**? I gotta reinstall everything. Hours upon hours upon hours upon hours of work I have to redo because of this god-damned driver. Thanks y'all, I appreciate making me have to reset my goddamn windows so I lose all my music and **bleep**, sure is fun reinstalling all this stuff.

now I gotta reinstall every goddamn thing, my chipset drivers, my sound drivers, my drivers for my focusrite, my DAW, my games, everything. Thanks y'all. I appreciate the goddamn driver update.

You don't need to do all of that, all you need is an older version mine is 23.3.2 , it's not  the best but it will do until they patch the latest one on wich will be after easter or close up to 2 months.
Just install that version and you will be good to go , btw don't expect that  it will work fine , the new version will pop up by saying there is a new version, don't install that.

I'm going to try to re-download these god-damned drivers and see if it does the same stupid ass **bleep** again, i swear to god i don't know why you push updates that break stuff. My computer was working JUST FINE until this damned update. I run AMD 3700 CPU on an MSI Gaming Plus Max B450 board with 2 RX570s. I shouldn't have to be going through this sh!t of redownloading everything and constantly having problems, why did you mess up my computer you guys? Why did you release a broken driver that made me lose all my music ? Why did you make this if it doesn't work properly?

Now my sound doesn't work. i've never had this much trouble installing your drivers in my entire life. who is responsible for this mess? Who did this? Who greenlit this driver update? I downloaded my sound drivers from MSI, and that doesn't work. I dunno what you guys did to mess my stuff up but all I did was click update drivers and then this nightmare started today. I really wish you guys wouldn't have put me through this nightmare. I really, really wish I could understand WHY you did this to me.

Had Microsoft help reinstall Windows from a freshly downloaded ISO of Windows 11. Tried updating the drivers. Same problem. Hang on I'll tell you the error code it's saying. I dunno if you guys have had your drivers compromised by an APT with fileless malware or what, because I can't seem to get things to work right. I go to install your drivers and it says "Bad Image" "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\u0390319.inf_amd64_32d8157dec983dab\B389920\atiu9p64.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f. "
What is this error? Why can't I install the drivers? Everything from my bios is set to stock. I don't have anything overclocked. I have the secure boot on. I have all the stuff on, bios settings are set to stock. I don't have anything overclocked on the CPU or graphics card. I don't know why this is happening. This only recently happened with your recent driver update AMD. I don't know what's wrong or what's going on. Forgive my anger earlier, but I seriously didn't expect to be working on this problem all day long. This problem started probably about 3 or 4 o'clock pm today and its almost 12 o'clock and I still don't have it working right. I've had to sit through 3 **bleep**ing windows installs. Come on man.

Still can't get the new drivers to work. I've tried just about everything. I tried restoring windows then installing this driver, it didn't work. I tried resetting my windows install then installing this driver, that didn't work. I tried a fresh iso of windows to try to install the new drivers and that didn't work either. I'm still getting this error.

The first install said that the driver was unsigned. I got it from the adrenaline software in my toolbar the first time. 
The following times after that after I did several windows re-installs, it still comes back with that error that atiu9p64.dll is either not designed to run on windows or contains an error.
I'm downgrading to the previous version.
I dunno why y'all would put out a buggy mess that breaks windows installs for and make someone have to reinstall windows like 3 times in one day (and probably 7 hours later after the issue) just to get your drivers to work but okay, thanks i guess

Trying the 22 drivers seems to work. I'm going to try to upgrade one more time if it doesn't work I guess I have no choice but to downgrade back to the older drivers. Would have been nice to get a heads up that you were going to cripple my whole system and make me have to reinstall all these programs.

Welp same **bleep**ing issue, let me know when you guys can make drivers that work again, who knows, looks like you guys might have had your drivers hijacked by an apt or something. almost every time i try to install your new drivers it does crazy ass **bleep** at the bottom of my toolbar, icons get all jumbled up. I dunno whats going on but somewhere along the way this **bleep** driver has ruined install after install and its a bad image no matter how many times i download it straight from your website but at least i can get the 22 drivers to work.

Would have been nice to know to not install to this if it was going to break my **bleep** and make me have to work on it for 7 and a half hours

Sorry I'm not trying to be mean but you have to understand what its like to spend months working on something for it to just poof up and vanish because of a driver update, and then having to stress about recovery of files, and all that, all because of an unnecessary driver update that breaks windows

I know how you feel, downgrading the driver did not for for me either, all that's left for me is to perform a clean re-install of the windows, but I'll keep my expectation really, really... low.

I wonder what the hell has happened? Do you think AMD was hacked or something? The new drivers act wonky as hell! And yes, it's a major pain in the ass to try to even get the old drivers to work, somehow I found a set of 22 drivers that work. If you can find Adrenaline 22 it might work for you, the February edition. Somewhere between Microsoft, AMD, and APTs someone has royally screwed up these drivers and broken a hell of a lot of systems. I'm sorry if you had to go through this too, this was a nightmare day. 
Sh!t sucks losing 3 months worth of music I wrote due to a stupid driver update. Now I gotta go through the misery of finding all my plugins and cakewalk and all my games and all my programs - it sucks because Microsoft tried to help me too, they didn't know what the hell to do but re-install windows.
AMD really needs to look into what the hell happened with this driver release and issue some kind of statement. This driver release needs to be taken down immediately if its releasing fileless malware out in the wild.
Hard to tell, MSI had been the victim of APT attacks recently too, their bios software had been hacked not too long ago from what I remember. So I dunno, AMD needs to get their ass in gear and help MSI fix this problem. If you have MSI too it might be part of this.
AMD - address this problem please, don't leave us hanging. I've been a loyal customer since you guys started up as a company. Don't leave us hanging like this. We need to know what's going on.

I sent you guys all the information, I hope you can find out what the heck is wrong with this build, because I don't notice any huge technological leap from 22.11.2 to 23.4.1, I don't know what could be causing this issue but I hope you guys address it. Like I said 22.11.2 works perfectly

This doesn't help your immediate situation but ....

1. The new driver is working fine and without issue on my four AMD based machines.

2. I have a nightly backup of both personal files and the OS drive. I did a recent restore that took 15 minutes (restore due to a failed windows update).

3. With major issues, reach out to AMD support directly just in case you were only relying on this AMD user forum.

Most people are not having issues with the new driver from what I've read elsewhere.

Mine is MSI 6600XT and all is good.

Use DDU and install the newest driver. Just make sure Windows Update is not doing download or install anything while installing GPU driver.

If Windows Update is download/instlal something then wait till it's done. If Windows Update download AMD driver (because after DDU, GPU using generic driver so Windows kindly download GPU driver), CANCEL it, do not downlad or install it.
