RX 5700 XT over displayport-to-HDMI adapter to get 4k 60hz RBG 10 bit?

I got a new TV (LG C1) that supports HDMI 2.1, sadly this video card HDMI ports are only 2.0 (14.4 Gbit/s data rate). This means my TV is connected at 4:2:0 at 12 bit (or I could do RGB at 8 bit). I would like to connect it at RGB with 10/12 bit. Even without DSC the display port can (I think) in theory handle that full RGB up to 16 bit.

I have been looking at getting an active adapter for displayport to HDMI. The one 'Club 3D' sells on amazon seems to indicate that it would work with this card, but im a little worried since it's rated 3 stars and no review mentions having this work on the RX 5700 XT.

My question: Do you think that adapter would work with a proper HDMI 2.1 cable with my 5700XT? Do you think DSC would work (if it does, wouldn't that open the door for 120hz full RGB 10bit)?

Yep, need a direct connection (non converter/adaptor) card/cable/monitor that are all 2.1 spec.

Ryzen 5 5600x, B550 aorus pro ac, Hyper 212 black, 2 x 16gb F4-3600c16dgtzn kit, NM790 2TB, Nitro+RX6900XT, RM850, Win.10 Pro., LC27G55T..

So you are saying the drivers of AMD do not support this even though that adapter list the 5000 series as compatible?

Ive seen one user post a screenshot with his 2060 getting 4k 120hz RGB at 10 bit (so it seems even DSC works with nvidia cards). So I know this adapter can work, its more a question of it AMD card and its drivers will play nicely. I'm hesitant to order it without knowing it will work, as it will cost over $100 CAD + a new hole in my wall.
