I have 25 (and growing) 5700U laptops & mini pcs that keep freezing/rebooting/BSoDing

Hey all,

I'm an IT sysadmin for a small company that has purchased a number of HP laptops and Beelink mini pcs over the past few years to support our needs.  Each of these computers has one common denominator; they all utilize the 5700U processor.

Over the past few months, an increasingly common issue has reared its head where many of these computers will exhibit one or more of the following issues:

- frozen black screen with visible, but uncontrollable, pointer/cursor

- random black screen reboots, even when the computer is being actively used

- BSoDs, exhibiting a variety of different error messages

I have tried everything I can think of to fix these computers, including:

- updating all drivers

- reinstalling drivers manually

- reinstalling Windows 11/10

- swapping out the NVMe drive

- booting instead from a 2.5" SSD

- running the RAM in single channel instead of dual channel

- swapping out the RAM

- updating the bios

- replacing the power supply

I am at my wit's end.  I cannot afford to replace all of these computers, nor can I keep spending so much time trying to fix them (I've been working on this issue on-and-off for the better part of a year now).

While googling around, I see that this is not that uncommon of an issue with the 5700U, though I have yet to find a "fix" that actually works.

After reinstalling windows, does it still happen before any corporate bloatware?
