HDR Toggle disappeared

I'm on windows 10 22H2 and I'm using the latest drivers (24.12.1). HDR was working fine 2 days ago and for some very obscure reasons, the toggle in display settings disappeared. I tried to clean (DDU) and reinstall amd drivers but the toggle is still missing. After a clean, the toggle comes back. As soon as I reinstall amd drivers, whatever the version, it's gone. It's really weird bug and I suspect windows being the cause.

Here's a sample of dxdiag tool report:

As you can see, the flag "Monitor Capabilities" shows my monitor supporting HDR but the flag "HDR Support" shows not supported. It's really weird.

My guess is that you enabled the '10-Bit Pixel Format' in adrenalin graphics settings.

That will remove HDR capability.

The only working "fix" is to reinstall windows 10. It's a very tedious process as I have to reinstall all my programs, drivers, restore files, etc.

I'm making a full drive backup of my fresh install so I won't have to waste time on fixing weird microsoft windows bugs.

Windows 10 22h2

AMD Drivers 24.12.1

Here's the extract of dxdiag report of my fresh windows 10:

Spot on! You're absolutely right, it was the "10-bit pixel format" which disabled HDR. I probably misunderstood it with the 10 bit color depth and enabled it by mistake. I exported/imported my adrenalin settings with that setting enabled.

Yes that option can be devastating if we don't pay attention. I enabled it by mistake thinking of color depth which is located at another panel (settings > display).

Most games I play are far superior in HDR.
