Hi everyone!
I need your help figuring this out. Long story short my video drivers keep crashing while playing Delta Force (2024).
I can play the game for a few minutes, but after a while it freezes and then it crashes to desktop with consequent AMD alert message ("AMD software detected that a driver timeout has occurred on your system. [etc.]"). Windows event viewer reports the same thing: "Display driver amduw23g stopped responding and has successfully recovered". The most annoying (and absurd) thing is that I ALWAYS get this crash while I try to change in-game loadouts, in every mode.
You'll find below my hardware and software details:
OS: Windows 10 Pro, ver. 22H2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D (no O.C.)
MoBo: ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi) X470 with latest BIOS (ver. 5502)
RAM: 32GB (4x8) G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3200 MHz C14 (D.O.C.P. set as per manufacturer)
Graphics card: XFX AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE (stock)
PSU: Corsair RM850X 80 Plus Gold (with two separated cables delivering power to the GPU)
Software running in background: AMD Adrenaline, Steam, iCUE and Logitech Gaming Software.
Tests I've done so far:
- I've tried running the game with drivers versions 24.9.1 and latest 24.12.1 (both times after using DDU)
- I've tried playing in fullscreen and windowed mode
- I've updated my chipset drivers
- I've tried running the game in DX11 mode
- I've stress-tested my PC with OCCT (power delivery, RAM and VRAM modes) and FurMark with 0 errors detected
Any suggestion is welcome. i remain available for any further information.
Regards,
Francoiky.
Bear with me, english isn't my first language.
