Please add support rx 580
This Driver version seems to be very stable on my system. It has even fixed the 10 month old slow Adrenalin startup time issue. Even idle power consumption has lowered at same level as it was with 24.5.1 driver.
My rig: 5800X3D, B450, RX 7900 XT, 32GB, Win 11 24H2
Well Done AMD Driver Team, Thank you!
Thank god, only took 4 months for a recommended windows compatible Driver update....
The camera application and AMD Privacy View don't work, it says the camera is being used by another application. **bleep**, I have to revert the drivers..........
Minisforum UM790Pro (7940HS / 780M) user here. I didn't proactively opt in for an update as I knew since 24.8.1 no driver was compatible. Auto-update disabled as well.
And yet my machine somehow died for me this afternoon European time. If I managed to get to windows lock screen, it got frozen (like no mouse/keyboard) either before I was given a chance to enter my password or just shortly after I entered it.
Tried going to win safe mode and using AMD cleanup utility / restarting as advised -> installing previously working 24.8.1.
Tried doing the same without restart.
Tried recovering to the latest Windows recovery point.
Still my machine is not booting/crashes upon entering win credentials.
Any advice? Quite desperate really as I need to work on that machine tomorrow.
P. S. A few peculiarities - 8k screen via HDMI, 96 GB RAM
Regarding my issue.
I read rumors about >=64GB RAM support and that Framework (sadly didn't hear about Minisforum) is working with AMD to make 24.8.1+ versions to work.
That being said, until things got somehow broken today, I've been using 96GB/24.8.1 successfully.
Elimination method, I've removed one 48GB module. After rebooting and trying all the previously mentioned attempts I'm still unsuccessful, my UM790Pro is now a brick that I can't use.
Again, looking for any advice
I am not seeing where the gpu driver is the cause here. Either way
If you can safe boot, then you should
1. chkdsk
2. sfc /scannow
3. dism ...google options
This should get windows installation back to good
When are you guys going to remove the driver-level MPO disabler that you applied months ago that makes it so MPO doesn't turn on while 2 monitors are active, NVIDIA on their end has MPO working perfectly fine while 2 displays are plugged in and only uses MPO on the primary monitor.
It appears they removed the driver-block within this driver for only 7000+ series cards, while abandoning the 6000 series cards with them having it blocked nice AMD...
AFMF 2.1 not working right in Helldivers 2 again. I am getting some frame stuttering and the Adrenalin Overlay is blinking erratically when enabled when AFMF2.1 is enabled. I remember having this issue with previous releases of AFMF and it has come back. ASROCK 7900 XTX Aqua with 5800X3D. I performed a complete DDU uninstall/driver cleanup and the issue still persists.
For me Delta force still stuttering with this driver.
AMD RX 7600
DayZ low GPU usage and pixelated foliage fix?
First time poster (First AMD card in 15 years) - RX9070XT was a much needed upgrade and i wasnt going to spend all the extra money with team green for similar performance.
First Notes : Bf2042 has a large amount of stuttering (About every 5 seconds). (Was non existent on my old 2080ti) - Cleared caches and shaders just to be sure.
I also noted a very minor occasional stutter on Assetto Corsa Competizione - which again didnt occur on the old card.
Im guessing it maybe the new drivers (for new card), teething issues. (Not sure if others are seeing similar with any 9070 xt.
I have a lot of stuttering in some games, Gray Zone Warfere, Shadow of the Tomb Raider
My card is RX 7900 XTX.
In my experience, it can be a very bumpy road when getting next gen gpu in first month of release.
Also, when I went from 20 series nvidia to 30 series, i got some stuttering because my CPU could not keep up with GPU. Game would hit cpu heavy spot, and GPU utilization would drop. Depending on how you look at it, you just jumped 2-3 gens.
Why are you using privacy view? It has no useful purpose. Also, use DDU, instead of the AMD cleanup utility and do a disk check and sfc /scannow as another poster suggested.
Is there an update from 25.3.1 to 25.3.1?
Why? What am I being shown?
Honestly that red prompt should NOT be red IMHO. It causes exactly this reaction. I don't like it either.
The problem with @UKP 's red prompt isn't that it's red. It's that it's telling him he's got an update available from 25.3.1 to 25.3.1. Even weirder, even though the versions are the same, their release dates are a month apart. Where it's showing the "new" version to update to, it ought to just say "Up to Date." The only thing I can think of is that he installed one of those "Optional" versions a month back and it's not picking up the correct version number from that.
I guess I'd recommend telling it to install and choosing the option to do a Factory Reset. But, that's just a guess.
I understand what you're saying but it's red regardless. I have a clean install and I even installed privacy view. The icon is STILL red. And it should NOT be.
Before privacy view:
After privacy view AND a reboot it is still red. That color makes people think they are missing an update. Which they are not.
This is what it looks like on the display tab. And this is what is SHOULD look like on the home tab:
And this is what my system tab looks like:
Still red even though as opposed to UKP I am "up to date"
We really are discussing two different issues here. While I understand it still shows there is a "new version" for UKP, I'm saying the color is a poor choice as it elicits the response that makes you think you're missing an upgrade.
Why not Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
I got so many freezes and low fps and i try everything but i cant fix and i find this thing today enable screen video and all of them fixed
Valve index still jittery in steamvr and unusable at 90hz and lower, been like this months for now, and using 120 or 144hz is not really viable in every game, rolled back to 24.10.1, issue started with the 24.12.1 version.
So far, my only complaint with 25.3.1 is that the AMD Install Manager pops up in the System Tray a bit after I start the system. So, now, I have both an Adrenalin icon and an Install Manager icon sitting there. I sure don't need both of those. Any idea how to get rid of the Install Manager icon? I see the option in the actual Install Manager program to "Automatically keep AMD Software Up to Date." I do want to do that, so I don't want to uncheck that option. I just don't want or need the darn icon to stare up at me from my System Tray every single day until I open it and close it.
The AMD Chatbot will not install. It will download the files in the background, but will not show progress on the main screen. When it goes to install it gets to around 81%, quits, and deletes the files it just downloaded.
Why would anyone use this AI garbage? It only complicates things and adds nothing of any value.
AI isn't garbage. False premise. It might be complicated for you, but it's not for me. I also wanted to try it out to see how good it is.
Greetings everyone.
• I had 25.1.1 drivers, did something wrong and the AMD Software icon/line disappeared.
• Uninstalled the drivers with AMD CleanUp Utility and then DDU.
• Installed 25.3.1 - but still no icon/line in context menu - How to fix this ?
As I said yesterday, I ran some tests on versions 25.1.1 and 25.3.1. The version seems to have had a slight performance gain on my RX 7900 XTX but brought stuttering in almost all the games I tested (Gray Zone Warfare (A lot) and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (Slight)).
Games that I noticed a performance gain were Cyberpunk and Black Myth: Wukong Benchmark Tool.
Conclusion: It seems to be a good driver, but it brought a lot of stuttering in some games, a little in others and none in others.
Here is a screenshot of Gray Zone Warfare which was very aggressive, had peaks of 27.5%.
My setup is: ASUS Rog Maximus Apex Encore, i9 14900KS, Corsair Dominator Platinum 48GB DDR5 7200MT/s, Sapphire RX 7900 XTX Nitro+, Samsung NVMe 990 Pro 2TB.
