Hello,
Since I installed the new pilot version 23.8.1, I am unable to launch any "big" games such as warzone2, last of us part1 and others. Most of the game can start but crash during loading screen, or the texture update in the main menu or after 3min in the game. I experience similar issue in the past versions but the DDU / AMD cleaner and clean re installation corrected it.
I also experience, once in a while windows freeze that can be solved by ctrl/alt/suppr
I tried to use AMD Cleaner utility, DDU to reinstall the driver, I tried the full install and the driver only install but nothing solved this issue.
My configuration is the following :
be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum - 1000W
Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 A-RGB - 360 mm
NZXT H7 Elite - Noir
Samsung SSD 990 Pro 2 To
ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI
DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RGB - 32 Go (2 x 16 Go) 5200 MHz - CAS 40
Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XTX PULSE
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (4.2 GHz)
Monitor : ROG swift PG27V (2k) (Monitor unable to reach max Hz since new pilot)
headset : HyperX Cloud wireless
Keyboard : Ducky One 2 Mini RGB Blanc
I have already unistall armory crate / NZXT software without any change.
To be clear before this update I didnt experience any crash.
,I would be very grateful if anyone could advice me
Ive had my first crash in quite a while after updating to the latest drivers. Also a 7900XTX here. Playing Baldurs gate, I had a game lock, followed by a crash and adrenalin driver restarting in 'safe mode' with an exception stating that hardware could not be identified?
Never seen this in the 9 months since I built the PC.
Hello,
I had similar issue before I tried DDU/AMD Cleaner, did you manage to resolve it ?
I haven't, but it hasn't happened again. If it does, I'll repost here with what I was doing when (if) it triggers.
Update :
Since the driver 23.8.1 update, no more windows freeze.
I would assume this is a driver issue, as this problem happen to each and every game I tried so far.
Tried a different monitor (HD 60Hz), tried to remplace DisplayPort by HDMI (always plugged on GPU), same problem happen.
Tried to change some AMD Adrenaline parameters, and also tried to disable all, same problem.
I ran "userdiag", GPU temp max at 72", everything was rated as normal. temperature in the room decent.
I am considering the previous AMD Driver to test if the issue occurs..
EDIT : Currently in version 23.7.2. Same problem happen. Tried to test with and without RSR/VSR, same. I dont understand and I dont know what more I could do
Any help appreciated
same, from my game log, it seems amdxx64.dll cause the crash.
