I have recorded some HEVC 4k and 1080 video at 120 fps on my GoPro Hero 10 that are freezing, skipping, and losing frames during playback in VLC, MPC-HC, and Kinovea. This is on an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, Radeon RX Vega 11, Win10 machine w/ 16 GB Ram and 2GB video memory (shared). I have posted on the VLC forum about this issue and do not have a definitive answer yet, but I think I need a better graphics card. Please let me know if there are some things I could try to get this type of video to play normally on the Vega 11. If the Vega 11 is not capable, I would appreciate recommendations for an inexpensive card that will provide normal playback. Basically my only need is for reviewing swimming videos for stroke analysis. Thank you for taking a look at this.
