Which RAM for 9800X3D

Hello everyone, I’m planning my next PC with 9800X3D, moving away from i7 11700K. I still can’t wrap my head on RAMs and speeds. I wanted to get 4 16 gb ranks DDR5 6000mhz CL30, but I’ve read that it works better with just 2 sticks. Is it better to go just 2 32gb sticks. Is it better to have 2 sticks 7200mhz CL36? Motherboard is gonna be a x870e chipset (probably Asus ROG STRIX X870E-E) Main use is videogames. Thank you very much for your help and I’m so sorry if it has been already cleared before but I would like to have some opinions.

For the very little I could read about, the sweet spot is 6800.

For any CPU, the less sticks, the better for IMC (integrated memory controller). Check the board memory QVL too!

go with 2 sticks of 32GB/48GB XMP or EXPO (doesn't matter) 6000 CAS30 stuff or thereabouts (2 sticks on a 4 memory slotted motherboard should be installed in slots A2/B2 , 2nd and 4th slots away from the CPU socket)

9000 series has the same IMC (integrated memory controller) as 7000 series. 4 sticks of RAM is not advised... for stability possible concerns and more than likely you won't get the RAM to run at it's rated speed with 4 sticks (6000 speeds and up).

Unless you can get your RAM to run at over 8000 speeds .. running at 1:1 (6000/6200) is going to net you better performance over 1:1/2 at 7200'ish speeds

I wouldn't get ASUS anything personally .. but that's just me. You can look up some videos from Gamer's Nexus on ASUS as a company if you want

I'm a bit of an ASRock fanboy i guess .. running 4 ASRock AM5 setups in my home right now

ThreeDee PC specs

Hi everyone, new here and planning on updating my system,

I originally had planned of buying a new intel CPU,mb etc so I had already bought the RAM after some reading around etc I will be swapping from intel to AMD,

The CPU will be the new 9800X3D and the MB will be a ROG Strix x-870F.

Will the ram I already purchased before work ok with the AMD CPU and chipset even if they were XMP certified?

I have 2x16 GB ROG Manta DDR5 by V-color @ 6800mhz rog certified and 6600mhz intel XMP

CL38 ROG certified and CL32 Intel XMP.

Thanks in advance
