AMD Warranty doesn't apply where you purchased the AMD processor. Only that the processor was purchased in a official AMD Retail box and the receipt shows you are the original owner of the processor.
By the way, you have a 3 year AMD Warranty on your processor. It starts once the Amazon Return Date or Warranty expires.
