Back Ground:
Built a new PC back in the end of July. Everything was working great until I started playing starfield at the very end of August.
What's Happening:
Games keep crashing to desktop at seemingly random times. I can still get my display to work when this happens by using the HDMI port on my MoBo. I get a message from AMD Bug Reprt Tool Saying
"AMD Crash Defender has detected an issue with your display driver. To prevent system crash or hang, the display driver is now operating in safe mode with reduced functionality"
To get my GPU working again I have to restart in safe mode and run Display Driver Uninstaller, and then reinstall everything using Easy Driver or AMD Adrenalin (after I reinstall it). At first the frequency of crashes seemed random: sometime it would crash after playing for an hour, sometimes it would go a couple days without an issue, but now it seems to always crash after just 10 or fifteen minutes of playing any game (except Rimworld), there has even been 1 or 2 times it's crashed just watching Youtube.
Things I've tried:
\-Running Unigine benchmarks (Everything's stable)
\-Disabling my CPU's IGPU
\-Disabling Smart Access Memory
\-Disabling Windows VRR
\-Undervolting my GPU
\-Overclocking my GPU
\-Ran chkdsk, DISM and SFC in command prompt
\-Rolling back to older GPU Drivers (tried everything from current to 23.8.1)
\-Updating BIOS (seemed to fix it for about a week but then it came back)
\-Rolling back to older BIOS
\-Tried using a different PCIe slot on my MoBo
\-Tried using the Vega 64 GPU from my old PC
\-Tried disabling AMD crash defender
\-Did a fresh windows install
