Adrenalin 24.8.1 Randomly Opens

The latest Adrenalin software seems to cause the software to open randomly.  Seems to happen most after the PC comes out of sleep.  Not sure if anyone else is having the issue.

Yes I got the same issue here with 24.8.1. This is a bit annoying..

I have the exact same issue. Opens at random and when resuming monitor from sleep.

Already sent a bug report to AMD.

I confirm. Every single time my monitor comes back from sleep the Adrenaline software is open by itself. Im back to 7.1 since i dont really need to be on 8.1

Yes, I have this issue come out of sleep and Adrenalin software is open. I have reported it to AMD.

And now we wait for the fix slotted for 24.9.3 lol.

Same happening here, Windows 10 22H2, Adrenalin is open when screen resumes from sleep.

24.8.1 fixed the ZeroRPM/Idle Power Draw issue with 24.7.1 but now this... sigh

Me too. I agree with everyone here.

I thought it was caused by my laptop. Looking forward to AFMF 2.

Also the same issue! In my case whenever the screensaver shut downs my monitor and after disengaging when I want to use my PC again the Adrenalin software just pop's up. Previous version of the driver did not have this annoying issue.

I have the same issue. The software opens whenever my PC wakes from sleep.

Same issue here, Adrenalin 24.8.1, opens after wake from Windows sleep.

I have the same issue on Adrenalin 24.8.1 and Windows 11 Pro 23H2.  It happens after I wake my monitor after being idle and unlock my PC (sleep & hibernate are disabled for the computer).  Once I return to the Desktop, the application will randomly open in the background.

I've also submitted a bug report for this.

As a workaround i found out if you disable system tray menu in preferences Adrenalin software no longer opens randomly

this driver is borked, I would suggest to DDU and get 24.7.1

who knows what else is broken

This did not work for me. Still having it pop up after PC wakes up.

Same issue. Even saw it mentioned on reddit. For some reason my first reply never showed.

This bug exposes how poorly these drivers are tested. It literally took one monitor sleep to detect this. Not one QA person or automated test for this.

Yes! It is. Thank God that it is not just me.

The app window automatically opens when I unlock my laptop.

This is very strange and scary (I thought maybe my keyboard is malfunctioning, LOL).

I suppose it is a minor bug in the grand scheme of things but its annoying none the less. DDU and back to 24.7.1 for me.

I am having the exact same issue.  No matter what I do it keeps re-opening.  I have turned off all keyboard short cuts that I can find, so dont think that is the cause.

Yup, I sent a bug report on this issue too. Every time I start up the computer AMD Adrenalin is open. Kind of annoying.

Add me to the the list with the same behaviour - always opens on wake (Win 11 latest release build) - 7900XTX card.

Hopefully this has at least 'crossed someone's desk' by now to investigate

Same on my end. Every time I wake my PC up from sleep I am greeted by the AMD Adrenalin software ever since updating to 24.8.1. My PC specs (which I doubt are relevant as this seems to happen to people with very different specs) are Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX, Ryzen 7 7700, RX 7900 XT and 32GB RAM. Windows 11 23H2 with latest patch.

Same issue on 24.8.1...3 separate systems w/differing AMD GPUs, including 2 with iGPUs. Also, the small "AMD Overlay" window that used to pop up when games invoked the driver no longer works.
