OEM machine have limited CPU support, so you will need to contact HP to see if that model supports that APU. Also, after installing a new APU a clean install of the OS is recommended.
Thank You, yes MB supports A8 3850, but trying to avoid re-installing windows 10 since it was an upgrade version to begin with and is digitally signed.
