For the last few weeks, I had noticed that my CPU usage in task manager was spiking to 100% over and over again while I was completely idle. I started to do research as this concerned me and did a bunch of "fixes" as well as scanned for malware (which came back with nothing). I then decided to reinstall Windows 11 in hopes that it would work itself out. Now, instead of spiking a lot, it just constantly at 100% usage and 4.6 GHz even if task manager is the only thing running. Despite the high usage, my temps are actually lower than they used to be on idle (before it was around 60 degrees and now it is around 50) which I find really strange as my CPU is supposed to be maxed out. Is task manager wrong? Am I missing something? Please help this has been driving me crazy for a while now.
