Need assistance AMD Athlon™ Silver 3050U

I've recently purchased a Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 just to use for word, excel, youtube, etc. and it turns out that was a huge mistake. I believe it has a bad processor, even though all the diagnostics show there's nothing wrong with any hardware. I've attempted to update all software, and to no avail, it lags, it crashes, it gives me a blue screen of death, and I'm tired of messing with it.

I'm going to upgrade the RAM to 16gb and the hard drive to SSD. But I also want to upgrade the processor. The problem is, I don't know what processor I can upgrade to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found one IdeaCentre 3 specs with a 3250U processor and a extremely weak PSU of 90 watts:

Chose this particular IdeaCentre 3 Model (IdeaCentre 3-07IMB05 Desktop), as an example since you didn't post the Serial Number of your unit,  I would update all the drivers for your PC including BIOS if newer then the one you have installed now:

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/desktops-and-all-in-ones/3-series/ideacentre-3-07imb05/p...

Click on the link and input the Serial Number to get the correct page to download all the drivers for your PC. Then click on "PARTS" to see all the compatible parts that you can upgrade to in your PC.

NOTE: You can't upgrade the processor since it is soldered to your motherboard. The Athlon 3050U Processor uses a BGA1140(FP5) Socket which is a soldered processor:

FAQ

Q: I have an AMD 3050U microprocessor. Is it possible to upgrade it?
A: No. Microprocessors like this one are soldered on a board, for that reason upgrading or replacing them is extremely difficult.

You can probably upgrade the SSD and RAM but not the processor.

NOTE: If you believe the processor is defective don't you have a one year Lenovo Warranty that you can open a RMA Ticket?
