As per title, i find it a little bit frustrating that the new CPUs are being sold as having a max boost speed they will never hit, regardless of power, temps or cooling because the current AGESA version prevents the CPUs going above 5.4Ghz.
Now comes word of the the new 3D v-cache variants of the first AM5 chips and they are yet again claiming a max boost speed of 5.7Ghz on the 7950x3D but i guess it remains to be seen if they will get there.
So has anyone seen or heard anything to indicate that the limit will or wont be removed?
