Another Ryzen 9 7950X Event 41

I keep on crashing. Event Viewers shows Event 41 Error. To date I have changed the psu, memory, gpu and ssd. the only thing left is the motherboard and cpu. I have reseated the cpu but the problem persists. Even tried changing Control Panel power supply values. No fast boot. Memory is at stock speed 4800m/t.

WinDbg gave me this from MEMORY.DMP. thread terminated. svchost.exe. Could it be a driver issue?
I also had PAGE FAULT errors. Checking the memory with memtest resulted in no errors.

akee, please scan your system disk: chkdsk

already did... no bad sectors. also did... sfc /scannow and dism.

I read in the forums that if you turn off CPU overdrive in the BIOS, this would help. I'm going to try this today.

Hi, you stated a change in memory but the KF560C36BBEK2 is not present on the QVL for your board.

I would also try JUST one stick at JEDEC speeds and see if the crashes still persists.

I'm not sure if you mean PBO. There are two things to consider here.
Is it the PBO? Or the regular boosting known as core performance boost.

Each board vendor tackles this a bit differently and I'm not sure about Gigabyte.

In ASUS, more specifically RoG, both PBO or CPB are under the PBO "umbrella" inside BIOS.

If the PBO setting is AUTO, then the CPU decides (this is the Core Performance Boost).
If the Setting is Enabled, then the board forces longer boosting, this is PBO.
If the setting is OFF, then the CPU will run at stock clocks. with no boosting at all!

To summarize:

Check if you have something similar enabled from stock, like PBO or some sort of gaming optimizations, some boards actually do that, and leave CPB do its thing or you'll end up losing a good ammount of performance on certain applications.

But of course, you can just disable any boosting for troubleshooting purposes.

Good Luck

My RAM kit is listed here as compatible by AMD. I also received confirmation by Gigabyte that it is okay.
https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/ryzen-compatible-memory.html

Anyway, even with 1 stick of RAM it still crashes. Anyway, I turned off the boosting and it was working fine all of yesterday. I'm going to try again later today and see if day 2 works the same.

I now think it is more likely the CPU. If I turn on Core Performance Boost to auto. I get BSODs. If I disable it, I can game without issues. After turning Core Performance Boost to Auto today I got a CRYPTO_LIBRARY_INTERNAL_ERROR BSOD. I wonder if anyone from AMD can help me test the CPU? The AMD factory is just 30 minutes from my place in Penang, Malaysia.

oh no.... now it even crashes with the Core Performance Boost off. What is happening?
One thing I noticed is the blue screen splits into 2. Half on the left and half on the right...
Anyone having this problem too? The assembly instructions shows:

mov qword ptr [rsp+8],rcx ss:0018:fffffe04`51fe66c0=0000000000000171

What is at that address?

In reply to your email... Nope AMD... I'm still getting errors like:

CRYPTO_LIBRARY_INTERNAL_ERROR
CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (ef) A critical system process died
KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE

Please help fix your RAID drivers. I think some of the problem is there...

Also please help put in place an option in the BIOS to switch off the Data Execution Bit. I get virtualization events happening from the event viewer. It was trying to create a PCI device on my machine. Had to erase everything and reinstall Windows.
