16bit audio / Ryzen 7 6800HS

Hey,

Is this processor not allowed to have more than 16bit audio on my laptop?

Go to Windows Sound Panel and click on your Laptop's Audio device then look in Properties like my LG Monitor:

It is possible your Speaker only support 16  bits audio unless you have external speakers connected.

Sorry I don't understand your native language, but where it says 16hz there should be a sub-menu with all the frequencies your Audio device supports next to the testing icon:

See if there are any frequencies higher than 16 hz in that Sub-Menu.

Also you are not using the AMD HD Audio driver but your Motherboard's Realtek driver:

See if the Audio device connected to the AMD HD Audio will give you a higher Hz then your Motherboard's Realtek HD Audio driver.

I am about to purchase a new laptop, however, I was wondering if going with 12700h or 6800h CPU is an overkill for music production?

I will only use it for music production, nothing else, and when I say music production, I mean electronic music production only.

What is your opinion, what CPU is sufficient for it in 2023? Should I go for 12700H/6800H, or can I comfortably aim for something lower?
