don't want to fry the mobo. msi manual useless and can't find anything on the processor on the web site regarding power connection to a mobo. anyone?

That is an 8 pin connection on the motherboard for the CPU. You'd want to use both of the 4 pin connectors. Try and see if they snap together. I have a Seasonic PSU that also has 2 4pin connectors and a new MSI mobo, and that's what I had to do.

out the pin sequence and which 4 pin connector was the main and it all came
together.
