V1605B thermal resistances

There seem to be very little information anywhere about the thermal properties of V1605B. Especially junction to case thermal resistance.

Where I could find such an information?

That may not be available to the public. Maybe with a signed NDF from AMD.

Here is AMD Tech & Document page that has all sorts of Technical papers on processors. Not sure if that would be of help or not: AMD Technical and Documentation  also here: Data Sheets website

Otherwise you can open a AMD SUPPORT Ticket who will assign a Embedded Specialist to help you from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form

Hello Jack,

The information you seek is located on this page @ https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/ryzen_embedded/v1605b#:~:text=Ryzen%20Embedded%20V1605B%20is%20a,of...

Tjunction is 0 to 105C

@JackSDR

I didn't realize you were asking about the Maximum temperature for your Embedded Processor. I was assuming a more technical engineering type explanation of temperature resistance.

I did find a couple of websites, as an example only, that have PCB Boards with that processor with corresponding temperatures if that was what you were looking for:

https://ecauk.com/files/2018/04/Advantech-SOM-5871-Datasheet.pdf

https://www.recabuk.com/computer-on-modules/comexpress/comexpress-compact-type-6/kontron-come-cvr6/

They both have the same temperature ranges:

Hi,

You were correct with your first guess. I am searching thermal resistance data for the chip (not the maximum temperature range etc) and you might be correct that it isn't public information and might be information requiring NDF.

Best regards,

Jack
