Upgraded my 2600x to a 5800x yesterday and now my mic is distorted cracking and staticy. Never had an issue befor the upgrade. upgraded to the newest bios on my asus prime x470 pro in order to use the 5800x. closing the game fixes it. Ive tried installing drivers and uninstalling Im hitting a brick wall and super frustrated any help would be greatly appreciated.

mic is a studio mic attached to a audiobox usb amp which connects to pc via usb

AMD dosn't have properly working USB at the moment

I don't have your issue with my usb mic

But instead games lagg when plugging usb in and out or sometimes just for fun

actually its not really AMDs fault - but lazy BIOS devs of MSI, Gigabyte and ASUS ;)

has to do with the ASMedia hw-exploit - but i hope it get fixed soon for new BIOS versions
