Ryzen Master - Always Says CO Is Off

Hi there,

This is either something I'm doing incorrectly or it's a bug with my version of RM (2.14.0.3205).

I ran the CO to assess the offset of Per Core, waited the appropriate time, about an hour and went through a few BSODs and restarts but it eventually finished.

I am now getting noticeably lower idle temps (not really load temps though, about 85 degrees but that might be due to me manually setting the throttle limit in my BIOS) and much better Cinebench scores than I was getting before (1568 / 14567). Which to me says the settings have been applied.

The only issue is, CO always seems to think that it's OFF:

So the conflicting information (RM saying CO is off) and the better Cinebench scores have me questioning if those settings have been applied.

I don't suppose anyone else has this issue or whether I have genuinely done something incorrectly?

Any help is appreciated.

IAmPodgy, please post a screenshot of RM Advanced view. Thanks, John.

Hi @misterj ,

Thanks for replying, here are images of Home and CO:

Thanks, IAmPodgy, it is confusing. Please open a Bug Report. In the upper right corner of RM is a funny icon which is supposed to be a bug. Click it and submit the report providing a link to this thread. Do try FunkZ's suggestions, but do submit a report because this is wrong. John.

Bug reported.

Tried @FunkZ solution to no avail unfortunately.

I do think CO is on and working since my scores definitely improved:

Single Core CB score went from 1350-ish to 1560-ish

Multi Core CB score went from 12500-ish to 14500-ish

Thanks much, IAmPodgy. The advanced mode of RM CO window showed "Curve Optimizer Mode" as "All Cores." Is this not correct? Your CB scores look like R23, right? If you do not get a response to your bug report soon, please try here. Thanks, John.

That's correct Advanced View shows "All Cores", whilst the Basic View shows "Per Core".

Both instances say CO is off.

And yes, scores are CB R23.

Your Ryzen Master Advanced View Curve Optimizer screen indicates it is set to "Auto Offset"

Your "Start Optimizing" button is greyed out, I assume clicking it does nothing?

If you click on Copy Current in the lower right, does anything change on the screen?

If not I suggest to Reset Profile and not use the "Auto Optimization" as other users have also reported it does not seem to work correctly.

The other option is to go into the motherboard BIOS and clear any Curve Optimizer settings there.

Manual optimization (at least for all-cores) is not very difficult or time consuming, you could easily try several different CO levels and find one that works for you in the hour that it took the Auto feature to try and apparently fail to work properly.

I recall another thread that the "per-core" auto optimization for Curve Optimizer did not work as expected. They may have fixed it.

In Ryzen Master if you click on Settings there is an option for Curve Optimizer

By default it will save changes to BIOS (why it needs the reboot)

To get Ryzen Master to pull current settings from BIOS click on Curve Optimizer

In lower right corner click Copy Current

Your current BIOS settings for Curve Optimizer should now appear in Ryzen Master
