Ryzen 7 3700 Low Benchmarks

I have an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard with 32GB DDR4 3200 RAM. I have never gotten my motherboard to recognize the RAM speed. I ran benchmarks and, as you can see below, my scores are abysmal.

Benchmark and InfoBenchmark and Info

Any ideas why my scores are like this? I can provide more info as needed.

Thanks!

Well your memory is only operating at 2666 and not 3200 so that's another problem you have.

Open Ryzen Master and look at the core speeds while you run the bench, make sure they are all working at full speed and not parked or slept, like below. Yours won't be as fast as I manually overclock, but they should be all maxed.

Did you place a manual thermal limit on yours..? Thought they were all 95c out of the box..?

My 3700 hits 4GHz - 4.1GHz when at 100% load, in part because I only have a 120mm RAD on it..

Seems weird for your score to be slightly lower although running higher clocks..? What's your Cinebench R20 score if avail.?

Also curious.. That core V of 1.0999 is manually set & doesn't have any worries?Gets 4780 - 4850 depending how hot ambient temp is..Gets 4780 - 4850 depending how hot ambient temp is..

SOLVED!

THE CULPRIT: MY GPU

Long story short, my Radeon 5600 XT had a conflict with my MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and was causing slowdowns and the Blank Screen of Death. I slapped my 580 pack in and all my troubles (and great graphics) went away. I also grabbed Ryzen Master and CTR to auto-tweak my voltage and other settings.

Thanks for the eagle-eyes and good advice, AMD Community!

maybe flash newest bios for your MoBo
and maybe flash the stock vbios for GPU (the one with lower vram clocks)

i suspect your PC is running to hot and throttles, or you disabled cores in your BIOS...

1. do a CMOS
2. leave everything at AUTO and test again
3. choose XMP (give RAM 1.4V - 1.45V, maybe 1.05V vSOC)
4. enable PBO

if still the CPU is underperforming = 5. install a fresh Win10 20H2, also install Chipset-Drivers as early as possible

Also fairly sure that MB had 4 DIMM slots?

If only running 2 x 16GB they normally would be in slot 2 and slot 4 not slot 1 & 2

Although check your MB manual to be sure.CPU-Z.png
