Hello everyone,

My PC crashes randomly. It shows a blue screen and then reboots. The temperatures are normal, around 58°C.

The crashes occur when I'm browsing, programming, or playing games.

I thought it might be a power supply issue, so I changed it today, but the problem is still present.

I don't know how to resolve this. Can someone help me?

Hit DELETE on boot to enter the system BIOS.

Is the memory set to use XMP or EXPO? Is it running at 5200 or 6000 speed?

If there is an EXPO profile, try using that.

If not, try with XMP disabled. (DEFAULT)

Before anything I tryed to reset the pc and reinstall the OS. At the moment all seems fine, no errors, no blue screen and no problems.

I hope this will continue, ty for the support.

1. It is new pc? recently build and if not, the problem occurs before or just now?

2. Is EXPO enabled?

3.  Send mobo Model and BIOS version.

It is  a relativly new pc, i built it last february.

I've just not used a lot in the last 3 month becouse i was at Univerisity college and the pc was at home.

I don't know what is EXPO

NB: Today i reinstalled windows to delete the possibility of softwer problems

1. Is pc was a prebuild or did someone build pc for you?

2. Check revision on your mobo on the BOX and update the bios to [F30] version

3. EXPO/XMP are basicly factory overclock everybody use out of the box made by amd or intel with memory manufacturers, but sometimes it bring problems, instability might be also caused by not good enough ram training. i saw now on your screenshot expo is enabled try disable it and run your pc again the problem should dissapear then enable it but after the bios update, and pc should auto train for new values.

1.  I built it from my self

2 and 3. I resetted the PC and reinstalled the OS, all seems good at the moment, and i hope this will continue forever.

Make sure your motherboard's BIOS is up to date

Make sure you have the latest AM5 chipset drivers installed from AMD.com or your motherboard manufacturer's support page . .whichever is newer

Check for firmware updates for your SSD(s)

Are you using any cable extenders INSIDE your case?

How is the airflow thru your case? You have to keep your VRM's and RAM cool too

You can also remove your CPU and check for bent pins

In this order? I have a new motherboard and this cpu, keeps crashing after 5 mins. Tried installing chipset driver. That failed. Didnt think about bios update

BIOS first .. yes .. then chipset if stable .. 

IF running a 4 memory slotted motherboard, make sure RAM is installed in slots A2/B2 (2nd and 4th slots away from the CPU socket)

Going to try updating bios via the flashback button. Then hopefully it will let me update the chipset, i have 2 ram slot (asus prime B650M-R) with corsair vengeance 32gb cl30

wont let me boot windows 11, i havent got TPM 2.0, even though its enabled in bios. Hopefully the bios update will sort everything out

I had a similar issue. Tried everything on the software side, bios update etc. In the end only turning off SMT helped.

For context, the mid September Windows update included a microcode update for Ryzen. It affects cache strategy for a boost in performance. Checking online it seems like this is causing an issue on some systems.

I encountered this on my Ryzen 9 3900/MSI B450M Mortar Max sytem.

Thanks, Will give it a try, im using asus prime B650M-R, i will update what i can starting with bios and if that doesn’t stabilise it enough to update chipset i will turn off SMT
