Ryzen 5 3600 getting 100c

Hey,

yesterday I've build my PC with MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max and Ryzen 5 3600.

After installing windows I checked CPU temperature and it was between 60c and 83c idle. CPU voltages were set to auto so I set them to 1.287V and every core to 3.8GHz. That lower the temperature to 50-65c idle. I tried to play The Witcher 3 and HWmonitor showed 98c so I imidiately shut it down. Then I tried to test it wit OCCT. The result is below.

On 100% usage CPU went to 103c in 37 seconds with 100W of power and cooler fan with around 2000RPM.

PC didn't shut down.

When I'm in bios it shows that CPU temperature is 30-40c.

I'am using box cooler with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste. Everything is in Be Quiet! Pure Base 500 case with 2 fans on.

I wonder if I should buy better cooler or something is wrong with my CPU.

It's not actually getting that hot, else you would experience throttling or automatic thermal shutdowns. Use Ryzen Master to monitor temperatures.

If you have stock cooler, you need to changed that. That cooler even might not even cool 60W cpu, while yours hitting 100W.
Get a decent cooler, check spesifications and aim tdp value higher than 100W.
