I installed a Ryzen 3700x 8 Core Processor on a MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS motherboard. The fan spins VERY slowly when plugged into the CPU FAN PWR. I disabled the smart fan power in the bios and the fan spins slightly faster. However, not nearly enough to keep the CPU from getting up to 90c+ while idle. I'm using a house fan to blow on it to keep it cool but it still gets up to around 80c under light stress. Help!
I tried plugging it into different fan power supplies on the motherboard but it still spins slowly. Is it the fan or the motherboard? Is there a clever fix for this?
