--(Useless paragraph) I always had the bad habit of not giving a **bleep** about fixing problems when it's my own machines but honnestly, after 4 or 5 years, this one is starting to bug me. Although i kinda like how much this has made me have to treat very cpu intensive tasks like doing cpr on my main pc and how nobody has this problem, im breaking that now (maybe).
--i have
-Ryzen 5 2600
-Asus prime b450m-a bios 1201
-Ubuntu (had the same problems on windows but it felt a bit less forgiving)
--My cpu doesn't throttle, my cooling works perfectly fine (stock cooler) but if i do something like cinebench, compiling, blender render, pretty much anything that overwhelms the cooler, my cpu just keeps going untill like 110° or something then my pc shuts off.
-I got no overclocks or anything wierd done exept having all my fans set at max speed
-I never saw my clock speed budge a nanometer from 3850. Or at least that was the case when i had windows on it, as i was finished writing this i am seeing that my clocks are actually acting like normal on Ubuntu (still no throttle though)
-when i switched to 100% linux, i noticed that loads actually move around the cores instead of just torturing the same poor cores untill its done.
--Just to already knock out some of the obvious questions
-yes i checked in HWI, my cpu doesn't throttle
-updating my bios probably won't fix it. i do remember seeing a thread about a simmilar problem a while ago but different chipset i think and updating his bios didn't fix it. Also my usb ports are becoming less and less trustworthy so id rather do that as a last ditch effort or wait untill i change my usb ports
-i've had this problem since i had it
--i am curious of hearing your thoughts on this
