RMA Timeline Question

I unfortunately had to RMA my 5800x3D. It was approved last Monday, and I sent it that same day via USPS. Tracking says it was delivered Wednesday, but it’s now 3 business days later, and the RMA portal still shows a status of not yet received.

This is my first time doing an rma on a product. Is this normal or has something gone wrong.
I’ve emailed support but have not received a reply.

Experiencing a memory leak after updating to BIOS version 3202 on your ASUS platform (5800X3D+B550M+7900XTX) can be frustrating. A memory leak occurs when an application or system process does not properly release memory it has used, leading to increasing memory usage over time. Here are some steps you can take to address the issue:

  • Check for Known Issues: Firstly, check if there are any known issues related to BIOS version 3202 for your specific motherboard model on the ASUS website or forums. Manufacturers often release BIOS updates to address bugs and compatibility issues, and sometimes new updates may introduce unforeseen problems.
  • Revert to Previous BIOS: If the memory leak issue started after updating to BIOS 3202, consider reverting to the previous BIOS version if possible. Many motherboard manufacturers allow you to flash an older BIOS version to resolve compatibility issues.
  • Update Drivers: Ensure that all drivers, including chipset, graphics, and other peripherals, are up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause memory leaks and other system instabilities.
  • Reset BIOS Settings: If you decide to stick with BIOS 3202, try resetting your BIOS settings to default. Incorrect settings might cause memory-related problems.
  • Windows Updates: Check for and install any Windows updates. Microsoft often releases patches and updates to address various issues, including memory-related problems.
  • Run Memory Diagnostics: Use Windows built-in Memory Diagnostic Tool to check for any potential issues with your RAM. It can help identify if there are any hardware problems causing memory leaks.
  • Check for Third-Party Software: Review any recently installed third-party software. Sometimes, certain applications may be causing the memory leak. Try uninstalling or disabling them to see if the issue persists.

Remember to back up your important data before performing any major changes to your system. Resolving a memory leak issue might require a combination of software updates, BIOS changes, and possibly driver updates. Patience and thorough testing are essential to identify and fix the problem effectively.
