R5 2400G RAM

Been having issues galore with my MSI X470 Gaming Plus. R5 2400G seems to be fine.

Looking at the crash dump files suggests a core hardware problem so I am looking down my pointed nose at the memory I have now.

This set of DDR4-3000 seems to be respectable G.SKILL Aegis 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C...

but I am aware my CPU maxes out at DDR4-2933. The 3000 class processors can handle DDR4-3200 and there are sticks at higher speeds that probably will not work so well with my processor.

G.Skill has some DDR4-2933 make for AMD but they are expensive compared this memory. This candidate is DDR4-3000.

Hi

I had a 2200G with corsair 2400 cl14 2x8 ram kit, asus b350m-a board which is one of the earliest releases of AM4 platform with suprisingly good performance

I was using the ram at 3200 cl18-20-20-38 timings with increased igpu performance since 2018 launch

so its either to check timings if correct/needs loosening, or underclock it 2666, as the difference may not be so big in performance

additionaly check bios if its updated/ok for the ram you are using
