PC won't wake up from sleep
my 3900x has been working fine since I bought it in september 2020. recently, i reinstalled windows 10 after trying out windows 11 for a bit and finding it not to my liking. since then, my pc won't wake up from sleep. instead, it reboots. every time it does this, i see an event like this in event viewer:
A fatal hardware error has occurred.
Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor APIC ID: 20
The details view of this entry contains further information.
there are plenty of google results for this error, but all the threads are about people who are experiencing random crashes while using their computer, which i am not. this only happens when i try to wake it from sleep, and otherwise my system's totally stable.
