New cpu causes windows boot loop-bsod

Specs: Ryzen 5 5600x, rx 7600xt, 40GB ddr4 @ 3600mhz w/ xmp enabled, b450m pro vdh max mobo, 750W PSU. I just swapped my R3 3200g with the R5 5600x, bios is stable but windows boot loops and bsods with a service exception error/machine check exception/whea stop code. Occasionally windows will start but when i try to login it loads and immediately crashes/boot loops again. When i put the old cpu back in it boots up perfectly fine. Here’s a list of things Ive already tried:

-Reseated ram sticks/cpu

-removed all but one stick of ram
-updated chipset/graphics drivers
-checked/re placed psu cables
-updated bios to latest
-Rolled back bios to previous update that supported 5000 series cpus
-reset cmos
-checked temps and thermal paste
- plugged power cable from extension cord to wall
-switched from uefi to csm vice versa
-xmp/oc genie on and off
-reinstalled windows
Any help is much appreciated.

It is possible that your Motherboard's VRM is not able to fully support or power your new 5600X processor.

Could also be a defective AMD Processor in which case I would open a AMD SUPPORT - Warranty ticket to see if they believe you need to RMA the processor to be checked from here: https://www.amd.com/en/forms/contact-us/support.html

Note: I would try to install the 5600x in another compatible Motherboard and see if the same this happens. If it does then most likely you have a defective CPU.

Make sure you have the latest MSI BIOS version installed for the 5600X for better compatibility to your motherboard.
