Motherboard and CPU query - power / boot issues

I have a brand new AMD 5600X and a B550 AORUS ELITE AX B550 AORUS ELITE.

I have power to the board, but no display. It is plugged into my GPU

The mobo is meant to be series 5 compatible out the box.

I have no display what so ever, all other components are working, GPU, etc.

any ideas if this is a duff processor to RMA?

The RAM is in slots A2 and B2.

funnily enough I upgraded my board for the 5600X as my old board despite saying it supported and on the right bios had the same issue too?

is this looking like a CPU issue? Is it common?

Hi,

First, see if you have "troubleshooting lights", its a set of 4 LEDs that will light up during boot, if one stays on, it will indicate were it fails. If you don't have this feature, you may want do consider connecting a simple speaker in the board header so it can beep out a troubleshooting code.

In the meanwhile & To be clear:

You had the same issue with the older board? If Yes, did you get any image at some point while using the new 5600X CPU?

Another thing, what is your card and PSU? Does it meets the minimum requirements?
Sometimes the card has a LED too near the power connectors, you could see users manual to check its color code if you have it.

There is also the possibility to try another PCI slot.

Good Luck

Did you try updating bios, F10 is the first for 5000 series support (depending on the Rev #).
