Is the FX 9590 compatible with WIN 10?

when ever i load windows 10 at some point it will randomly freeze, all sound stops, control of the mouse and keyboard is gone, and the screen is just frozen in time. The only wait to get my pc back is to hard restart on the tower. im trying to single out the problem my specs are

MOBO: ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z

CPU: AMD 8 CORE FX-9590 5ghz Turbo

GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 280 Dual-X OC

CPU COOLER: corsair h100i v2

PSU: Corsair RM1000x

RAM: 16GB HyperX FURY (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz

HDD: Western Digital Blue (2 x 1TB) 7200 RPM 64MB

SSD: Samsung 750 evo 250gb (OS)

My recommendation is to downclock the CPU and yes is compatible with Win10, the issue is entirely on CPU.

I'm running it base clock of 4.7ghz. I still need to down clock it? How would that help?

That CPU is the most unstable on the FX series, its Hot, to much power and voltages, to high frequency, my FX 8350 with 125w can do better and more stable clock with less power than that 220w cpu. On the bios turn off the Turbo frequency, set it to 4.7GHz on all cores on manual, if still not stable downclock more, to 4.6 or 4.5GHz.

Edit: Didn´t even see that you putt there 5GHZ, but anyway, the issue is the CPU itself.

With no knowledge is better you to read some OC forums, read the Motherboard manual and see some youtube videos, to understand pros and cons.

Do what said, maybe we can help in some way from here.

According to ADIA64/HWMon/HWInfo, what is your+12v voltage and your idle and load temperatures (Tdie)?

Are you using BIOS 2201?

Have you run Memtest86+ to check for memory errors?

Have you run Prime95 to rule out a CPU problem?

Have you run MSI Kombustor/Furmark/OCCT to check for video card stability?

Those are programs, run them. A BIOS update is available on your motherboard manufacturer's website, download it and flash it with ASUS E-Z Flash in BIOS.
