If the Processor is the only thing I replace ex: swiching Radeon 7 to Ryzen 5, what will I expect to see when I Log onto the Computer?

Wondering will I loose anything that's already on Disk.

hello forist,

your request is a little confused for my brain, I'll try to clarify it.

You want to upgrade your actual CPU by a Ryzen 5 and request if something on your hard drive will be lost ?

No, you don't lose any data on your hard drive when upgrading any other items on your computer than the hard drive himself.

Be careful, on your post your wrote that you want to upgrade a Radeaon VII video card with a Ryzen 5 that is a cpu.

Take care

But mccharle, AMD replaced/Discontinued Radeon R7, I was under the impression that the replacement was Ryzen.

Perhaps I did confuse the Radeon name brand, which one was discontinued the Graphics or the CPU?

hello forist,

Radeon VII stay a good graphic card with performances between 5600XT and 5700XT.

If you have an old CPU and AM4 socket on your motherboard, Ryzen 5 3600 it's also a good choice for gaming.

I was thinking the same thing, I have the AMD A10, In your Opinion would it be worth the spending the money switching to Ryzen 5, especially since I'm not really into Gaming yet?  I do like Video, Pics and Graphs but haven't really done the Game thing.

Ok, I did get those two confused.  Are mine even worth switching or just money spent unnecessary?
