green screen ryzen 5 8600g

When I'm playing any game, and this has only happened so far when I play, the screen turns solid green. I can still hear the game. And even doing the bind "win + ctrl + shift + b" it doesn't go back to normal. It only goes back to normal when I restart the computer. I've already updated the bios and drivers.

I was broadcasting my screen to my friends while I was playing until I got a green screen. They said the transmission was normal. It was only green for me.

I had this problem back on launch day. I updated the BIOS, replaced every possible part to diagnose the green screen issue, and determined that the problem was with the CPU itself. It seems to be related to the RAM specifications and the CPU's IMC.

The Ryzen 8000G series has some IMC issue. You can check online forums and communities—it's a widespread problem, and many users have experienced the same green screen of death. Since the APU market is relatively small, there aren’t enough users or YouTubers making noise about it, so AMD doesn’t seem to care about fixing it—or maybe it simply can’t be fixed. Of course, if you watch review videos on YouTube, it might seem like there's no issue, but that's because they tend to highlight only the positive aspects.

My suggestion is to return the 8600G if you can, replace it with a non-G version of the CPU, and get a dedicated GPU instead.
