Graphic card and hard disk suggestions

Hi,

The DELL XPS 8500 that I purchased in 2012 is becoming outmoded and I wish to upgrade two of its original components: Firstly, the AMD Radeon A-10 7800 R7 Series Graphics card has reached the end of its shelf life and requires replacement with a contemporary equivalent that will work with this pc's specifications (see below).  And secondly, I wish to replace my 2TB Seagate hard disk -model: ST2000DM001- with a SSD equivalent of the same size.

-The AMD Graphics card must be within a £200 budget.  And the SSD hard disk must be within a £100 budget.  (Not through purchase on Ebay).  Amazon preferably.

I was wondering if the AMD community could offer me its recommendations.  Many thanks.

Technical Specifications: DELL XPS 8500 Intel (R) Core i7 - 3770 CPU A3.40 GHZ (8 CpUs).  8192 MB Ram

I am a little bit confused.

You mentioned that your Dell XPS PC is a Intel PC yet you mentioned you are using a AMD APU Processor A10-7800 with R7 Integrated Graphics which uses a AMD Motherboard and not a Intel Motherboard.

You PC does come with several HD 7000 series GPU cards thou.

I looked at Dell's specs  for the DEL XPS 8500 PC and it does  use a Intel I7 core processor.  The Intel I7 uses either the HD 2500 or 4000 Integrated Graphics.

It has a slot for one mSATA SSD Drive

You will definitely need to upgrade your PSU. It seems like it uses a 460 Watt PSU. So you will need at least a 650 watt but I would suggest a minimum of 750 watts or high Metal rated PSU.

Found this old Dell Thread about upgrading hardware in the XPS 8500 PC: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS-Desktops/XPS-8500-upgrade-PSU-and-GPU-nvidia-RTX-3070-TI/m-p/8116...
